This category of visa caters for people wishing to stay in Spain for a period maximum 3 months for work reasons (to sign the contract etc) but does not allow to carry out the professional activity.

Invitation Letter (s) firm (s) legally established inviting (s) in Spain in which spells out the period for inviting, the reason for the invitation and your activity.
Accreditation of trade relations with the company inviting, with a letter from the legal representative of the applicant's business that maintains trade ties with the Spanish company specifying the position of the applicant and the object or purpose of travel and indicating whether they take care of expenses the trip, either way applicant should bring bank certificates and copies on the last 6 months bank statements from their accounts and credit cards in national territory. If you bring a company´s bank statement, you need to to bring prove that you have shares of stock from that company.
Please note with effect from 01 April 13, Consulate of Spain has instructed that Sworn Declaration is mandatory to be provided along Visa Application form at the time of submission.

The application can be submitted personally or by an authorized person at the BLS International Services centre; or at the Consulate General of Spain ( subject to prior appointment)
If the application is being submitted directly at the Consulate of Spain in Quito/Guayaquil, then the fee must be paid via bank draft payable at Quito/Guayaquil in favor of Consulate of Spain, Quito/Guayaquil, in accordance with the place of application. The applicant must write his/her name, date of birth, and passport number behind the draft. A photocopy of the draft must be submitted along with the application.
Passport of the applicant with at least two blank pages, which should be valid for at least three months after the duration of intended stay. This document should have been issued in the last ten (10) years. Photocopy of all the pages of the present passport must be submitted.
For Consulate General of Spain Quito/Guayaquil, photocopy of all the pages (including blank pages) of the current passport and of the first previous/expired passport as well is required
Submission of all old passports is mandatory. Incase if applicant has lost old passport then he/she can submit copy of complaint lodged with Police or for any other reason of not submitting it he/she can provide a covering letter mentioning the reason for the same.
Covering letter from the applicant, explaining in detail the purpose of the visit, all cover letters must include details of any other accompanying persons as well. This includes family members, friends or business associates travelling for the same purpose
Original Invitation letter issued by the Spanish Company in Spanish language or both in English and Spanish. Letters issued only in English will not be accepted. This will be an obligatory requirement. Spanish company /companies inviting the applicant, explaining the purpose of the present visit and the nature of existing commercial relationship.
Documents related to the economic situation, ownership and business activities of the company must be submitted.
For participation in conferences, sports events or cultural activities, original invitation for the same must be submitted. All other documents to justify the purpose of the visit must also be attached.

Original Personal bank statements of the applicant for last 3 months for Consulate of Spain, Quito/Guayaquil and past 1 year for Consulate General of Spain, Quito/Guayaquil, with the original stamp and signature of authorized signatory of the bank (Online Bank statements are not acceptable).This is a mandatory statement. (Please note that as per Instructions received from Consulate of Spain, Company’s Bank statements/ITR are not required at the time of Application Submission).
Please Note for Consulate General of Spain, Quito/Guayaquil: The minimum closing balance in the Personal Account Bank Statements should be equivalent or above Euros €589.68 per person for a minimum period of stay. For longer stays applicants need to show an additional of approximately Euros €65.52 per day per applicant.
Personal Income tax returns for the last three years.
Salary slips for last six months.
Proof of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros to cover any expense which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and /or emergency hospital treatment. The insurance must be valid throughout the territory of the Member States. The duration of the insurance cover must include the entire period of stay and additionally fifteen days more after the proposed date of departure out of the Schengen territory.
Applicants are informed that travel medical insurance issued by only some Ecuador insurance companies are will be accepted for visa procedures. However, visa applicants may seek to obtain insurance in any other country where claims against the insurance company would be recoverable in a Schengen state.

If the applicant is not a national of Ecuador, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal or the Maldives, a proof of his/her legal residence in any of these countries (Residence permit).
For Family visa applications applicants are requested to submit proof of family relations with the principal applicant as an additional document with the visa application, for example

BLS International Services will accept a photocopy of the document after verifying with the original at the time of submission. In case if you are unable to present an original, kindly submit the photocopy of the same legalized before a Notary public. (This is requirement is only applicable for West and South jurisdiction as per The Consulate General of Spain, Quito/Guayaquil)
With regards to the documents submitted with the visa application such as the Marriage certificate and Birth certificate of family visa applications, documents only in English language or translated to Spanish will be acceptable for all files.
Kindly note that if the documents are in any regional language, they must be translated to English or Spanish by any language institute with official stamp and signature of the translation institute/agency.
Documents in regional languages such as Marriage certificate and Birth certificate will not be acceptable.

Applications accepted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day at the Consulate General of Spain. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional documentation in support of the same. Please note as per the instructions received from Consulate of Spain minimum processing time is 15 Calendar days and 35 calendar day for Guayaquil (It may delay depending on case to case).
All applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the proposed date of travel to accommodate any unforeseen processing delays.
Kindly note if application submitted in Satellite centre, it may take up to 48-72 hours in transit to Quito/Guayaquil. All the applications received from Satellite centers will be sent to Consulate on next working day
Processing time will start excluding the date of submission of application at BLS International Services.
Applicants submitting the applications towards the Consulate of Spain, Quito/Guayaquil with short processing time will be required to fill up the Declaration form.
